Difference between
Technical tasting and Tasting
(Assaggiatore – Degustatore)

technical Tasting:

Is performed with verified and standardized procedures (for example, charts), in which the culture of the Subject (technical taster or judge) is “restrained” so that only the sensory characteristics of the wine are emphasized, generating essential, pertinent and exhaustive data, whose possible statistical treatment cancels any possible “subjectivity”.

Tasting:

Verbally translates the consumer’s perceptions starting his mental representation of the wine. It is strongly linked to the habits, cultural imprint and communication ability of the individual and generates subjective judgments.
