The idea of Wine Hunters was born from a reflection on the world of wine and, in particular, from observing a wine event held in Merano. From that experience came a simple question: can the comparison between different professional perspectives contribute to a more complete understanding and greater quality in wine?

The Sommelier, through their knowledge of wine, focuses primarily on service, food pairing, and the relationship with the consumer. The Technical Wine Taster, through sensory and technical analysis, evaluates the characteristics of a wine and looks for both its strengths and its faults.

The Wine Hunter approaches wine from a broader perspective. A Wine Hunter must have a solid technical foundation in wine tasting, understand many of the tools and principles used by the Sommelier, and, through a methodology of their own, go beyond the simple evaluation of a wine. Their role is also to investigate what lies behind that wine: the territory, the vineyard, the climate, the producer’s choices, and everything that contributes to shaping its identity.

The Wine Hunter is not intended to replace the Sommelier or the Technical Wine Taster, but rather to bring together and develop different areas of expertise through a specific path.

From this idea, our Wine Hunters project was born.

It is a complex project that we have been developing for months and one that has also experienced some long pauses. We still do not know when it will be ready. What we do know is that the more the project develops in depth and complexity, the more time it requires.

Because some projects should not simply be finished. They should be built well.
